About

Rae prides herself in taking a hands-on approach to millinery, not only in the initial blocking of the straws or felts, but also in how she works with a wide variety of materials.
The techniques used could include freestyle stitching on brims, printing feathers or applying beadwork – as well as printing and dyeing sinamay, an often lengthy process that involves repeated dipping and drying, using various colours to achieve the desired effect.
The aim is always to provide the best in personal service, matching or complementing the colour and style of a client’s outfit, and achieving a sense of uniqueness. Because everything is done by hand, no two hats will ever be the same.
